About Little Ossipee Lake

Little Ossipee Lake is a 3.5-mile, 564-acre pond located in Waterboro, Maine. The spring-fed lake has an average depth of 21 feet and a maximum depth of 72 feet. The lake empties into Lake Arrowhead via the dam on Chadbourne Ridge Road in North Waterboro. Loons and bald eagles can be spotted here. Little Ossipee offers many recreation opportunities for long-time residents, families, and visitors alike.

Recreation

Swimming

There are two swimming locations available to the public: one at Gobeil Park on Route 5, and the other is via the Bob Fay Memorial Park off Webber Road.

Boating

There is a public boat launch at Gobeil Park on Route 5 is available to the public. All motorized vessels must have current registration and required stickers; thanks in advance for observing Maine’s boating laws & rules.

For non-motorized small boats, launching is also available via the Bob Fay Memorial Park off Webber Road.

Please remember to inspect your boat prior to launch and remove any traces of vegetation, to prevent the spread of invasive plants that may have been transported from other locations.

Fishing

A wide variety of cold and warm water fish may be found in Little Ossipee. Among them are perch, pickerel, sunfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, and more!
